Some designs require a double-impression for solid coverage. If you need solid black for larger type or graphic elements, there's a $75 charge for this service. We run the cards with standard coverage to get crisp inking of small type and line elements. To produce solid coverage in larger areas, we then trim away the finer type and line from the polymer plate, leaving the heavy elements only. The Heidelberg Windmill press provides perfect registration, and allows us to then run the stock through the press again for a second hit on the solids. 

Without this, the solid areas will read as a medium gray rather than black, as the texture of the paper prevents a single hit from covering completely in larger areas.  

Please note that there's a $75. Design Charge for changes to templates, including swapping in user provided graphic elements;  the Design Charge is also applied to templates #2 "Digitized Wood Type" and #6 "Federal Initials" due to the additional set-up required for these designs. 

The heading in template #2 is limited to 15-17 letters, and #6 to two characters only.

All of our standard Trade-Terms and Policies apply. * Note that letterpress black ink on white paper does not create a solid carbon black density. The appearance of type is quite black, but larger elements will appear more or less dense.

We will send a PDF proof of your card for approval before going to press. We will print the cards as shown unless we hear from you within 24 hours. 

Note that no design changes are included in the price unless there are specific problems which are related to the text. We apply our best typographic practice to the templates, given the text that you provide (within reason). Any other design changes (size, placement, etc) are billed as customizations with a $75 minimum charge.
